Variety is key
One of the goals is to provide members with a wide variety of vegetables and herbs. We make an effort to provide a bounty of hardy common staples such as potatoes, carrots, tomatoes, squash, onions, and beans. However, we also provide a wide variety of other vegetables. The list includes: Basil, beans, beets, bok choy, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, cauliflower, celery, chives, cilantro, collard greens, cucumbers, dill, fennel, kale, kohlrabi, leeks, lettuce, marjoram, melons, mint, onions, oregano, parsley, peas, peppers, potatoes, pumpkins, radish, rosemary, rutabaga, sage, savory, summer squash, Swiss chard, tarragon, thyme, tomatoes, winter squash, and zucchini. We provide a weekly list of what is contained in the boxes, and provide recipe ideas to help you make the most out of what you receive.
Our intent is to grow community through growing our farm. Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) provides us with the perfect system to connect with community and give
members the opportunity to be more closely involved
in experiencing where their food comes from.
Members are encouraged to come visit the farm.
If our schedule allows, we will have a tour/work day
for members during the season.
Beauty is everywhere
We take special pride in our farm and the landscape on which it lays. We value the beauty of nature and strive to live in harmony with the land. We do not burden the land with chemical pesticides or fertilizers that create a short-term gain for us and a long-term loss for the land as well as our bodies. Instead, we focus on creating a sustainable system of vegetable production by using compost and cover crops and by rotating crops. It is the way we were meant to live... by giving as much or more than what we take. By focusing on the long-term health of the land and the long-term health of our bodies, it becomes a win-win system where we all come out ahead.
At the end of the day
At the end of the day, what matters most is that you spent time to do and say those things that are a direct expression of your heart. We all have that choice.
This farm is an extension of what is held our
hearts for ourselves and the world around us.
So come support something that is good
for you, good for the local community,
& good for the natural world...
