We are looking for volunteer interns to help with farm production and learn about what it takes to run an organic CSA. We are asking for a minimum commitment of 8 weeks, at 8-hours per week over the course of the 2017 growing season. Send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and include the information requested below. Let's get growing!
My book of poetry and short stories is finally published! I am very excited about this accomplishment. It is available on-line right now at CreateSpace!
Between farming and everything else going on, I managed to finally complete this project, which has been a huge labor of love. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have enjoyed putting it all together...
Here is the basic description, in a nutshell:
'This enchanting book offers poetry as medicine for the soul... for spiritual practice and for healing. The words within become signposts to aid you in an inward journey to recover your true self and the deeper connections we have with each other and all of life. The author's journey back to the forest of her childhood and the lessons gleaned from the natural world become an invitation to explore your own inner landscape and to see the beauty and perfection that reside there. In the tradition of ecstatic poetry, the words in this book are transformative and help guide you back to the sanctuary of your Heart and the joy that awaits you there.'
I am truly blessed to be living one of my favorite poems of all time...
"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do" ~Rumi
Enjoy! And have a Blessed Holiday Season!
I have been busy, to say the least, since the ground was finally workable this spring! I would like to share my Member Newsletter with everyone, so you can stay up-to-date on farm happenings...
~Kate Paul, Propietor
I had an opportunity yesterday to interview with KAXE Northern Community Radio and talk about the farm. How fun! You can listen to the excerpt at https://soundcloud.com/kate-82-1/2013-03-20-07-00-00-d-1. It may still be VERY snowy and look very much like winter out there, but I am gearing up to turn the heat on in the greenhouse this coming week. I'm looking forward to that! Can't wait to get my hands in the potting soil!
Happy first week of spring!!
Owl Forest Farm is now up and running on Facebook! Come join me there regardless of whether you are a member or not, or live close or far. I will be posting occasional fun-facts about healthy food, life on the farm, mind-body-spirit connections to living well, and use it as a forum to post favorite recipes.
We are now looking for members for the 2013 season and invite you to pass along the word to family and friends who may be interested. Please forward them links to the website or Facebook page. Together we can get back to the healthy basics and change the way our food is grown and produced. Owl Forest Farm uses organic and sustainable practices to grow and then deliver to you the best fresh produce you can get. Not only do you get healthy food, but you gain a personal connection to the land where your food is grown and a personal connection to the grower... me! I have a 'growing vision' for Owl Forest Farm and I am very excited to get the season started. But first I need the help of members who would like to share this vision with me.
Call or email me at 218-290-6630 or email@example.com if you would like to sign up.
